Being an Office & Production Manager

An advertising agency is a machine, and every machine needs that grease to help it run smoothly and more efficiently. At adHOME, we work hard to bring our clients the most out of print and digital advertising, but what some people don’t see is what happens behind the scenes. Today, we would like to feature our Office & Production Manager, Kathryn Byfield… but you can call her KB (we all do).

As Office & Productions Manager, KB is responsible for various tasks that help the rest of us adHOMEr’s able to do our job —from supplies, to décor, to client relations. Taking on a motherly role, KB is known for her organization, meticulous planning, and ability to get things done (and if you’re lucky a few wild stories)!

KB is no rookie. She entered into the advertising industry as the Productions Manager over 20 years ago, and her experience is unparalleled. In August, KB will be celebrating her 16th year anniversary with adHOME!

KB has always had an interest in art and aesthetics. Before entering into the advertising industry, KB was an Art Retail Manager and a home décor professional. Wanting to make the jump into the office lifestyle, KB knew a career as a Productions Manager was her calling. “As a Production Manager I am able to be organized as well as be creative,” says KB.

Everyday is different, and according to KB, that’s what makes her love her job. Trends in advertising have changed dramatically from when KB started, especially regarding the mediums that are used. The rise of digital advertising has changed the role as a Production Manager, and KB has shifted into also taking on the position of Office Manager. KB supports the company, it’s employees, and helps make everyone feel at home.
