adHOME Digs Into Marketing for Ontario One Call

Ontario One Call has chosen adHOME Creative as its agency of record for the creation, management and execution of marketing and branding materials for a three-year period. The agency was selected following an RFP process that included shops from across the country.

A not-for-profit organization, Ontario One Call is best known for promoting the Call or Click Before You Dig message throughout the province. The organization’s marketing efforts have been primarily focused on brand awareness but will evolve to drive behaviour change. The focus of this strategic partnership is to raise the profile of Ontario One Call, strengthen the brand and increase compliance.

Mary-Ellen Willard, Partner and Executive Creative Director at adHOME says that there was an immediate synergy between the two teams. “Ontario One Call is committed to building strong lasting relationships with their partners.” She added, “We’re really excited to push the boundaries on this first campaign and delighted to know that the team at Ontario One Call is very supportive of this bold direction.”

Ontario One Call’s Director of Education, Marketing & Compliance, Ian Simpson says that out of all the RFP responses and presentations, adHOME had a unique insight into our challenges and proven creative capability. “While many agencies checked some of the boxes, adHOME checked all of them.” Simpson added, “We’re confident that they have the creative talent to develop compelling campaigns that will get noticed and most importantly, change behaviour.”

The RFP process began in early November and the decision was made late December. adHOME is currently developing the first campaign which will launch this spring during Dig Safe month.

Ontario One Call is a not-for-profit organization that acts as a communications link between utility companies, underground infrastructure owners, and individuals who are planning to dig in the province of Ontario. In 2012, the Ontario Underground Infrastructure Notification System Act was passed, which stipulates by law that anyone in the province of Ontario must contact Ontario One Call before they dig.

adHOME has grown steadily since 1999 to become one of the most successful ad agencies in Southwestern Ontario with 25 full-time employees and an impressive roster of regional and national clients. Their experience in public safety includes an ongoing 10-year partnership with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA). adHOME’s work encompasses all facets of traditional media, web and mobile development, as well as digital services and social media.
