adHOME was proud to support and participate in Trailblaze for Wishes new fundraising initiative hosted by Make-A-Wish Canada to raise funds for helping wishes come true for critically ill children across the country.
Trailblaze for Wishes was a national fundraising initiative hosted by Make-A-Wish Canada between May 19 – July 28, 2021. It challenged individuals or teams to hike, walk or run a distance chosen by the participant: 50, 100, or 200 kilometres over a 10-week period. The virtual challenge allowed users to set the time, pace, and destination in order to help raise funds for critically ill children across the country. At the end of the challenge, participants from across Canada raised over $500,000 to help grant life-changing wishes for children in Canada.
We were pleased to partner with Make-A-Wish Canada by developing an integrated digital campaign to drive awareness and sign-ups for this fundraising challenge. Our adHOME team “Collective Soles” explored the many trails in London Ontario & surrounding areas for 10 weeks while having a blast hiking, walking, and running. We moved our way to the top with a total of 2,220 km trekked and in addition to our adHOME contribution of design services to create the social media ads for the campaign, our Collective Soles team members raised an additional $2,580 in donations from our friends and families to help Make A Wish Canada achieve their fundraising goal. We were delighted to participate in this event to raise money for an organization we have supported and worked with for the past 8 years.
This year travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic have put some wishes on hold for hundreds of critically ill children in Canada. Make-A-Wish needs your help to make sure that when life returns to normal, no child must wait for their already delayed wish.
