An Important Step in the Evolution of Surge Communications

Mary-Ellen Willard and Mark Brown have jointly taken over the helm as new Partners of adHOME (formerly Surge Communications), a predominant advertising agency in southwestern Ontario. Willard and Brown, vice-presidents at the company, are picking up the leadership reins from Hans Jonckheere, founder and CEO who led the London-based agency for 13 years.

In their new roles, Willard and Brown will be guiding adHOME through its next stage of development and providing clients with renewed vision, energy, and skill sets well suited to the challenging marketing landscape ahead. The pair will oversee the 25 person in-house team, which counts Western Fair District, Roxul, Maple Leaf Foodservice, Merial Canada, Procter & Gamble and Southwest Ontario Tourism among its major local and national clients.

“We’re a passionate team here, and you see that reflected in our work. We’re not just managing projects, we’re building clients’ brands and forging long-term partnerships.” Willard said.

Strengthened Digital and Social Media Resources

Over the past six months, Willard and Brown have made great strides in shoring up the agency’s strength in digital and social media resources, while reinforcing the agency’s strategic and creative abilities. In doing so, adHOME has evolved to the next stage of integrated marketing.

Brown added, “When you look at the complexity and multitude of communications options we’re faced with today, you need to seamlessly integrate traditional advertising, digital solutions and social media. That’s exactly what we do best.”

In the coming months, the agency will be re-branding itself with the launch of a new website and marketing campaign to reflect the change and new direction.
