As everyone walked into the upper plaza, the creative vibes were flowing. Led Zeppelin played faintly in the background and chilled beers sat on the table waiting to be cracked. Strategically placed in the middle of the room sat one TV screen with the words ‘Brand or Be Branded’ on display.
This is a theme we live out every day in our work, pushing to find authentic creative answers for every brand. Whether we like it or not…a brand is our choice or someone else’s; it’s not something we can exist without.
Whether you’re offering a product, music, or yourself – you are your brand. That was our mission that night, to meet halfway between musicality and marketing, and uncover the Five Oceans brand.
In the two-hour session, we ran through a Brand Blueprint bootcamp – a micro version of one of our favourite client exercises, this time using musical references and big-picture questions to understand at the core:
what sets these five guys apart from other bands?
Energy was in the air as we worked through touch points and differentiators, target audiences and the stories behind the songs, the inspirations behind the sound, and how they want you to feel at the end of the night. We left feeling inspired, connected and ready to get creative.
adHOME will now take the information from this session to create a brand for these country inspired rock and rollers. Next we’ll conceptualize the logo that will represent Five Oceans and the picture that tells the story of their next album.
