adHOME has been working with Tootsies Shoe Market over the past two years to enhance the Tootsies brand online with a growing Facebook page and digital advertising. This strategy has focused on building brand recognition and a strong customer base leading up to the e-commence website launch.
Just as the style of shoes is ever changing, so is the process of purchasing them. “We knew we needed to get into the domain of online sales,” said Dan Bohemier, E-commerce Manager at Tootsies Shoe Market. “adHOME was persistent about us getting into e-commerce and we’re very glad we did. Sales started pouring in from day one.”
Tootsies Shoe Market has been a bricks and mortar retailer of affordable family footwear in Ontario since 1992. With the launch of its e-commerce website, the store can now easily serve customers outside of Ontario, and across Canada.
The website is built on a robust and responsive e-commerce platform with a design that allows the products to take precedence. Shoppers can browse products by keyword, family member, type of shoe and brand. Functionally, the website seamlessly integrates with Tootsies Shoe Market’s offline POS and inventory system and exports order details for fulfillment with Canada Post.
“Our client’s objective was to increase sales and we knew an e-commerce site was a must,” said adHOME agency partner Mary-Ellen Willard. “We took the time to build up their brand and audience online prior to launch. The online sales and integrated digital presence really takes the Tootsies Shoe Market brand to the next level.”
The site traffic has steadily increased to 2,600 average weekly sessions, and has over 270,000 pageviews.
Tootsies.ca launched May 4, 2015 and sells popular footwear brands for all members of the family, including brands such as Tender Tootsies, Keds, Skechers, New Balance, Clarks, Columbia, Nike, Sperry, Timberland, and more.
