Those who dare…WIN

“Daring ideas are like chessmen moved forward. They may be beaten, but they may start a winning game.” — Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

This year, three of our clients decided to take a bold step forward and push their brands in a direction that was considerably outside of their comfort zone. These daring choices paid off and earned ALL three prestigious international advertising awards.

McKenzie Lake Lawyers, one of the most respected legal firms in Southwestern Ontario, launched the “It’s in our Nature” campaign earning them Silver in the Summit Creative Awards. This campaign featured large scale animal images paired with individual brand personality traits. Owning your strengths and showcasing them to the world was a bold decision, not to mention the completely unorthodox approach for this typically conservative industry. The impact of this campaign’s elegantly understated design was undeniably powerful.

Sifton Properties, a leader in the home construction industry, also won Silver in the Summit Creative Awards for their SIFTON SIX brochure created for their Commercial Leasing Division.
The design celebrated the diversity and individual features of each commercial space utilizing different shapes, colours, textures, fonts and imagery. A total departure from their usual approach, this bold concept showcased spaces that can be as “Unique As You”. The result was both highly effective and distinctive.

The Technical Standards & Safety Authority (TSSA) was rewarded with a Bronze Summit Creative Award for “The Silent Killer” campaign. With the goal of increasing awareness and changing behaviours, we cast Carbon Monoxide as the real Silent Killer in our own movie thriller, supported by a Cineplex trailer, magazine ads, outdoor and widespread digital media. This bold transition from their previous low-key approach delivered mass engagement exceeding all expectations and setting the stage for future campaigns.

The Summit Creative Awards (SCA) celebrates work created by marketing firms around the globe. This advertising award is widely recognized for its prestige worldwide, and is a coveted honour to its award recipients. Award-winning submissions are honoured for their strength of concept, quality of execution and ability to persuade as judged by respected creative professionals with a depth of industry experience. Companies and individuals from more than 50 countries and across five continents have participated in this prestigious 23-year competition – the first and best of its kind.
At adHOME, we feel very fortunate to work with all of our clients and we are very proud when their bold choices lead to award-winning creative. Congrats to all.
